Monday Money Madness, May 12, 2008 Recap! Two Big Cash Winners!

Three beautiful Hawaiian gals wonder, "Why don't more Key West guys come out on Monday Nights?"

This was a really good turnout for a Monday Night and we had loads of beautiful women as you can see!

Where the frot was Ron Ramsingh of Key West last Monday at 9:23PM on May 12, 2008? We called his name for $100 cash and he wasn’t around?

It never fails.

We call names of locals to win cash on Monday Nights when we have Monday Money Madness and they are not around to take the money home. So we add $50.00 to the prize they could have won and try to give that away the following Monday.

Last Monday, two tourists, one from Germany, one from North Carolina, won $150.00 and $200.00 respectively.

Each winner was sitting on their ass when they won the cash.

The first drawing for Monday, May 12th, took place at 9:23 PM. We called Ron Ramsingh’s name to win $100. He wasn’t here. Therefore, next week, during the 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM time segment, the prize offered will be for $150.00. (See how the prize progressively grows by $50.00 every week until we finally have a winner?)

Our first winner of the night pocketed $150.00 cash!

For the second drawing of the night, Susanne Martens from Germany was present when we pulled her name at 10:46 PM. Therefore, Susanne won $150.00 cash while hanging out with 7 or 8 American friends from Sugarloaf Key who cheered and applauded as though Susannes had just won the Ms. Universe Paegent.

Next week, in the 9::30 to 11:00 PM time frame, the cash prize will be worth $50.00.

Our second winner of the night, from North Carolina, won $200.00 cash!

This was the funniest winner of the week: Casey van Nieuwenhuize, formerly of the Netherlands, and now living in Wilmington, N.C., won $200.00 by answering when we called his name at 12:24 AM. Casey danced up to the DJ booth to collect his winnings from Tim our manager.

Casey had three people with him . . . and I’ll bet they spent Casey’s winnings on themselves and “new friends” they met in the bar that night. Casey and friends stayed very late, were thankful and most gracious, and told us over and over how much they loved Cowboy Bill’s.
I wish Casey and his friends lived down here full time. We really enjoyed their company.
Next week’s prize will be $50.00 for this time segment of 11:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

Our last drawing, for $250.00 went unclaimed by Rory Walker. So sorry, Rory, but you can’t win if you are not present!

Here’s a great example of losing easy money.

Whoever Rory Walker is, he wasn’t present when we called his name. Rory did not write in a snail mail address. And his cellphone has a 503 area code, but maybe he was writing so quickly he transposed the numbers 3 and 5 and he’s really a Key West local?

We don’t know. But Rory, when you read this email, know that you gave up the easiest $250.00 you could ever make in your lifetime. Better luck next time, Rory, if you are a local and frequent the bar.

Hence, next week’s prize for the 12:30 AM to 2:00 AM time slot will be for $300.00 cash . . . our largest prize ever offered on Monday Money Madness.

We sure hope you locals will come in and win this prize as the town is slowing down, tips aren’t as big, and we know some of you could sure use the money with gasoline now over $4.00 a gallon.
Good luck to all of you reading, and don’t forget next week’s band will consist of three members of Chad Bradford’s “Damn Band” with a new fourth guy added on. This band will be called “The Westley Butler Band”, and just to keep you straight, West is the young guy on lead guitar with the deep baritone.

Hope to see you next week at Cowboy Bill’s, and Good Luck, Locals, may one of you win that big $300.00 prize!

Meanwhile, more photo from Monday Money Madness, May 12, 2008:

That's Kendra and Jen from Island Dogs taunting you local men to "come up and see 'em some time, Big Boys!"

That's Donna and Buddy from Raleigh, NC, two of the coolest people to come into the bar this past week. Buddy is a Veteran of the US Army. He's going back to school. Donna is a nurse. We enjoyed them both!

I think this couple was from Vermont or maybe New Hampshire. I lost their names, but I promised to put their photo up on the blog, so here it is.

Craig posing with another Key West local beauty who is wondering, "Where are the guys?"

This is world famous "Weasel" who is a bull fighter/rodeo clown showing us his badly healed cracked rib. One of the first videos we will ever try to link on this new blog will be of this wildman being tossed head butted and lifted way up in the air by a big bull named "Black Diamond." He and his fellow rodeo stars were in here on Monday.

More single out of town women dancing by themselves because the "the guys are too shy".

This is Ron. I am sorry guys. I didn't know it rolled week to week. I was there the previous Monday night and someone else won, so I figured it started over again. I won't miss it again. Us local boys have to do our part!!!!

Hey Ron,

It's DJ Rowdy.

I'll be posting the results for this past Monday, 19 May 08 from the DJ Booth. I've got to upload photos.

A local, Kelly from Blue Heaven Restaurant won $300 and split it 3 ways with two other locals.

More about that in the next blog post.

p.s. It is Friday night, 10:15PM. Come by tonight and I'll buy you a beer!
