Rick Monroe Band Finally Releases Their Key West Hit "Honky Tonk Road Trip"

Howdy, it's Rowdy . . .

So I am called into the office a few minutes ago wondering, "What did I do wrong this time?"

Anyway, Irene (as in one of our owners) tells me to take a load off my feet, sit, and watch the following video I'm about to share with you.

It's by a band which has played our stage quite frequently, Rick Monroe Band, and they've just gone national with a song they wrote while they were down here in Key West. The name of this song is "Honky Tonk Road Trip" and if you saw Rick and his band the last 2 or 3 times they were here, you'll remember this song as it packed the dancefloor and was a favorite of locals and our staff.

If you look closely, you'll see Rick is wearing his Cowboy Bill's camo baseball cap (I've got mine on right now . . . and if you want mine . . . you can't have it. Buy one online right here) and the next thing you want to do is listen closely to the lyrics.

The song is about a guy leaving a girl and going on a honky tonk road trip. In the song, this fella decides to go on down to Cowboy Bill's in Key West and see "Crazy Irene" . . . as in Irene, one of our owners.

So the bar is namechecked. Irene is name checked. And our bar's best selling baseball cap is on Rick's head half of the time he's shown in the video.
