Okay, gang, it's officially official . . . Rhett Atkins, Dallas Davidson & Friends will be appearing at Cowboy Bill's on Thursday night at 10:30PM for a very special evening of acoustic country music. This show will be brought to you by Cowboy Bill's and Jagermeister, the favorite spirit of our one happy dysfunctional family. (Just ask anyone on the island which bar sells more Jager than all the other bars...)
Howdy, it's Rowdy:
Okay, gang, it's officially official . . . Rhett Atkins, Dallas Davidson & Friends will be appearing at Cowboy Bill's on Thursday night at 10:30PM for a very special evening of acoustic country music. This show will be brought to you by Cowboy Bill's and Jagermeister, the favorite spirit of our one happy dysfunctional family. (Just ask anyone on the island which bar sells more Jager than all the other bars...)
You know Rhett for his hit songs such as "Kiss My Country Ass", "That Ain't My Truck", "Don't Get Me Started", "She Said Yes", and "I Brake For Brunettes".
Dallas Davidson appeared on our stage before a sellout crowd last year with non other than Billy Currington. Dallas wrote a little No. 1 hit song for Trace Adkins called "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk". He also wrote a recent hit for Brooks & Dunn titled "Put A Girl In It" which he previewed for last year's crowd at Cowboy Bill's. Lately, Dallas has penned a new hit song covered by Brad Paisley with Keith Urban named "Start A Band".
Now, there will be extra guests appearing with Rhett and Dallas on our stage, and I'm not privy as to who they are . . . yet. But I know this: last year Dallas, Billy Currington and Bret Jones played before a sellout crowd who were so into the music and singing you could hear a pin drop on our dancefloor.
Like last year, we will be setting up tables and chairs on our dancefloor, but in a new and better order . . . just like we did for the recent Comedy Shows with Dov Davidoff and Adam Hunter. (It took a while before we got the rows set correctly and could find the right kind of table lengths to allow entrance and egress to people's chairs and still allow room for our wait staff to move down the aisles and take orders.)
We'll also have the camera aimed at the stage so that Rhett, Dallas and other singer songwriters can be seen on high def TVs throughout the property while their vocals and acoustic guitars will be miced through our new 24 channel Yamaha mixer which is tied in to speakers all throughout the property.
This year you won't miss a thing, no matter where you sit.
Like like last year when we sold out Billy Currington, Dallas Davidson & Bret Jones's show, we are only going to sell 250 tickets at $20.00 per ticket.
Tickets go on sale tonight at both Cowboy Bill's main location and also down at Cowboy Bill's Reloaded at 430 Green Street. I'll be selling the tickets from my DJ booth, and I'll be announcing the tickets every break the band takes.
Proceeds from this very intimate and special show will benefit Just4Kids Children Charity.
Two things to keep in mind, gang:
1. Tickets are only being sold at this location from my DJ Booth at night and down at Cowboy Bill's Reloaded. They are NOT being sold by any ticket broker this time. But you can call our office at 305-295-8219 and reserve tickets by talking to Irene, Billy or Bill
and
2. This show will most certainly sell out as hotels are booked solid in advance for the Sailfishing Tournament folks and country fans who will travel down from the mainland to catch Rhett Atkins in an unusually cool, intimate acoustic setting.
Like the sold out Comedy Shows, we are limiting the sales to 250 people so that everyone can relax and not have to fight through a crowd to get drinks or hit the restrooms.
That said, here's one more great bit of news: the following night, Friday, April 17th, Rhett Atkins will be playing on the million dollar Jagermeister stage down at Mallory Square . . . just as Billy Currington did last year.
This show will be open to the public with free admission. Cowboy Bill's will be selling draught beer down there. Our Security guys and KWPD officers will man checkpoints and barricades. Coolers will NOT be allowed in.
The Mallory Square show will be seen by thousands of party people standing, screaming and dancing. The Jagermeister stage has more speakers than all the combined PAs of every bar in Key West. So, this show will be completely different than the very intimate setting of the acoustic show at Cowboy Bill's the previous night.
The Mallory Square show will kick off at 8:00 PM . . . I'll see you there and here.
Get your tickets for the Thursday night show ASAP or you will not get in after the 250th ticket sells.
By the way, this week, Eric Agnew and his crack band will be LIVE on stage. I hope to see you this week and next, DJ Rowdy over and out.
p.s. I'll try to scoop some videos of Rhett Atkins and place them here on the blog. Adios muchahos ey muchachas.
p.p.s. We are going to give away 3 pair of tickets to the Rhett Atkins/Dallis Davidson acoustic show this coming Saturday night at midnight. To enter this drawing, come by the bar anytime before Saturday's drawing and fill out an official entry form which you can get at any bar or from our DJ Booth.
